BOV employees have once again taken up the challenge and joined the runners and walkers in this year’s President’s Charity Fun Run in aid of the L-Istrina 2011 campaign held last Sunday. The BOV group consisted of more than 800 runners and walkers, with the runners joining the President for the run from the President’s Palace in San Anton and the walkers joining Mrs Abela to start from near the BOV Centre in Sta Venera.

BOV is a strong supporter of the Malta Community Chest Fund and the L-Istrina campaign through the BOV L-Istrina Piggy Bank Campaign and also this year as one of the main supporters of the Paqpaqli ghall-Istrina.

Over 5,000 piggy banks have been distributed to schools in Malta and Gozo for the eighth consecutive year of the piggy bank campaign which this year has its own dedicated facebook page with an innovative competition in which children will be able to participate during the live transmission of l-Istrina.
