Bank of Valletta has presented its annual awards for the BOV Staff Suggestion Scheme for the financial year ended 30 September after a record 1,703 suggestions were put forward.

The scheme encourages employees to come forward and suggest ways of enhancing customer service, operational efficiencies and measures that can improve the bank’s relationship with all its stakeholders.

Addressing BOV’s branch managers and winning participants at the presentation, Chief Officer, Operations Michael Galea said: “We consider the bank’s human resources to be our most valuable asset and we are delighted to note the high level of participation in the Staff Suggestion Scheme. We are pleased to see the enthusiasm of our members of staff and their motivation to share innovative ideas that can improve the bank’s service and products and the way in which we interact with the community. The numbers registered this year bear testimony to healthy employee participation within Bank of Valletta and are testimony to the way that the values of BOV’s brand promise are lived daily by every member of the team.”

The Customer Service Centre was the unit with the highest number of suggestions for the year and Ms Tania Gauci from the bank’s Training and Consultancy Unit won the award for Best Suggestion.
