The Board of Directors of RS2 Software is pleased to announce the official changeover of the new chairman and chief executive officer for the company. The board agreed to appoint Mario Schembri as Chairman and Radi El Haj as chief executive officer of the company.

Mr Schembri joined RS2 in 1999 as Regional Manager for the Mediterranean Region and took the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2006. Mr Schembri was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2008. Mr Radi El Haj’s career at RS2 started as a Project Manager in 1996 and was responsible to various projects in the Middle East and Europe. Later in 2001, Mr El Haj was promoted as Customer Relationship Manager. Since 2004, Mr El Haj has been the Director of Sales and Implementation.

During their careers Mr Schembri and Mr El Haj worked closely on various RS2 projects in various markets. Both executives worked on strategies of how the Company can enhance and increase their services to their customers through the BankWORKS system.

Mr Reinhold Schäffter co-founded RS2 in 1988 and has been Chairman of the Company since 2008. He stepped down from his position as Chairman at the end of 2011 to “make room for the younger generation to flourish in the business”. Mr Schäffter will remain active in the company focusing mainly on the Asian region.
