This week, Bank of Valletta and the General Workers’ Union signed a new Collective Agreement for the years 2011 to 2013, covering the non-clerical categories of employees at Bank of Valletta.
Charles Borg, CEO, Chief Officer Operations Michael Galea, and Noel Scerri, Executive Head HR on behalf of Bank of Valletta signed the Collective Agreement.
Cory Greenland, Section Secretary, Charles Galea, President Group Committee, James Grech, Vice-President Group Committee, Paul Micallef, Secretary Group Committee and Joe Mifsud, Member Group Committee signed on behalf of the General Workers’ Union.
Mr Borg said, “This agreement continues to enhance the conditions of employment of our employees and continues to build on the range of family friendly benefits and policies adopted by the bank. The new agreement underlines the bank’s continued dedication to ensure the long-term well being of employees across all categories balanced with the long-term sustainable growth of the organisation.”
Mr Greenland also expressed his satisfaction at the conclusion of negotiations: “This agreement was reached after a round of negotiations that have been cordial and professional at all times. The Collective Agreement with Bank of Valletta offers employees represented by the General Workers’ Union a package of new financial as well as non-financial benefits that continue to enhance their working conditions.”
