Palladino Barolo ‘Reserva’ 2005 Rated 93 points

Malta Independent Sunday, 22 January 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Palladino Barolo Reserva 2005 San Bernando was rated with 93 points by the Wine Enthusiast and with 90 points by the Wine Spectator in the wine specialist magazines’ latest issues.

The great winemaker, Maurilio Palladino, created the perfect love song to his home, Piemonte, through his Barolo San Bernardo 2005. The San Bernardo vineyard is the prize vineyard of Palladino. It faces south/south-east within the Serralunga d’Alba commune of Barolo.

The wine is ripe, dense, woody and complex, with a floral perfume. It has subtly complex aromas of red currants, wild strawberry, nutmeg and tobacco, with a suggestion of mint. Everything about the wine is plush, silky and full.

Palladino Barolo is represented by Charles Grech & Co. Ltd. For trade enquiries phone on 2144 4400.
