Actavis has announced the appointment of Patrick Cachia as the new managing director of Actavis Limited Malta.

Mr Cachia graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Malta in 1994 and joined Pharmamed Ltd in November of the same year in the position of production registration officer. He was promoted to production manager of Pharmamed Parenterals Ltd (PPL) in 1997 and to production manager of Pharmamed Ltd in June 2004.

Until recently, Mr Cachia held the post of production division manager for Actavis Ltd where he was heavily involved in the upgrade and operation of the site.

Mr Cachia will carry out his duties of managing director with immediate effect. He also holds an Executive MBA from the University of Malta.
