Accompanying book dedicated to cyclist Cliff Micallef

Artist Doris Micallef is organising an exhibition of her works at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana. The event will be inaugurated by Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami and will be open to the general public from Sunday 1 April until Monday 16th April.

During the exhibition Doris Micallef will also be launching her book: ‘Paintings of Malta & Gozo’ that amply illustrates her paintings and describes in detail her career.

This volume is dedicated in loving memory to Clifford Micallef (1964-2009), her son who lost his life tragically while training for the LifeCycle charity event.

‘Paintings of Malta & Gozo’ is edited by Rev. Fr. Norbert Ellul-Vincenti and Victor Fenech. In 164 pages, 136 are full colour illustrations with the rest reserved for text. There is a hardbound edition with a soft jacket. It is also available in paperback. It is printed at Dormax Press by her son Michael who was also responsible for the publication designed by Doris herself.

All the proceeds from the sale of a limited edition print ‘The Breeze’, the painting on the dustcover, is in aid of building schools in Ethiopia.
