First Tigné Point Piazza Block draws to completion

Malta Independent Sunday, 8 April 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Sales for high-end homes at Tigné Point have continued at a steady pace, despite the bleak global real estate market, as more buyers purchase the last remaining unsold units in this award-winning lifestyle development. The newest additions to the residential arm of the exclusive project are the 22 designer apartments situated on the car-free, stylish Pjazza Tigné. In a short time, over half of these have sold to a mix of local and foreign buyers. Their prestigious address, top-notch design and high-flying lifestyle promise have all proved to be unique selling points. These one-of-kind properties are also being bought as high-yield rental investments.

As the first block of nine apartments is now reaching completion, the unique design aspects of these stunning new homes grows ever more evident. The interior of each of these living spaces has been individually designed by Chris Briffa Architects. From studios to townhouse apartments with their own private roofs, each one has been inspired by a new type of homeowner who appreciates creativity enough to demand a signature design that captures the essence of a chosen lifestyle. From the drawing board to the finished product, each of these homes has been designed to very high standards using quality finishes made of natural materials like marble, wood and travertine as well as contemporary touches such as fair-faced concrete and tadelakt plaster. Each residence is unique, but the sophisticated use of different materials and the attention to detail are common elements throughout.

The use of cutting-edge technology at Tigné Point centres around prospective homeowners who have embraced technology in their daily lives. The apartments come with a centralised heating and cooling system that is one of the most reliable, environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient technologies available. Set in intimate blocks of no more than nine apartments, these new homes also have key card access control, fire-detection systems and smart lighting features as standard. They are all installed and managed by Solutions and Infrastructure Services Ltd, a joint venture between Midi plc and Siemens SPA and are managed around the clock from a control room on Manoel Island.

A Tigné Point address promises a contemporary lifestyle where residences are uniquely cocooned on a peninsula surrounded by tranquil walkways and breath-taking views of Valletta, with Fort Tigné in the foreground. The vibrant and exciting urban destination offers a hub of exclusive and trendy shops nearby, along with excellent restaurants, stylish cafes and a residents’ pool and deck in a unique car-free environment.

The development at Tigné Point drew a step closer to completion with the planning authority recently giving the green light for the final residential and commercial elements in Tigné North. The full development permit will consolidate the Tigné Point project’s vision as a holistic mixed-use development that brings together residences, shops, leisure areas, restored heritage sites and business in a prime location served by ample underground parking.

Tigné Point has recently won the prestigious Best Mixed-Use Development award at The International Property Awards in London. Private viewings of the last few remaining apartments currently for sale can be arranged by calling 2065 5510 or by visiting www.piazzahomes.tignepoint.com
