Maltese Cardinal Prospero Grech was officially given possession of the the titular church of Santa Maria Goretti in Rome yesterday at a ceremony in which all 22 cardinals appointed on 18 February were given their titular churches.

Bishop Prospero Grech was elevated to Cardinal in a ceremony at St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and became the second Maltese Cardinal in history.
