On Friday, 25 May, Volksbank Malta Limited organised a street party for customers and business partners to celebrate the inauguration of the extended and fully refurbished branch.
The official opening ceremony was held by Austrian Ambassador Dr. Schneebauer, her charming young daughter Katarina had the honour to cut the ribbon. The new offices were then blessed by Fr. Francis Zammit, who runs the Salesian’s bookshop in the neighbourhood.
“Since the bank opened its offices in Dingli Street in 1995, it has been constantly expanding,” said Managing Director Herbert Skok. “By March 2007, our offices occupied the whole building – with the exception of a small grocery shop located at the corner on the ground floor.”
“Unfortunately, after many years in business the little shop had to close and the Bank immediately took over the area,” Mr. Skok continued. “This gave us the chance to double the size of the existing branch, and we added two offices and a meeting room, which is much more convenient for our customers.”
Following the opening ceremony, the Bank’s guests had the chance to visit the spacey and bright new branch, which offers also a new reception and waiting area.
“Our Bank is proud to offer a personalized and flexible service, and our customers appreciate the fact that they always find friendly, helpful and competent staff members to support them – with 36 employees, we now have enough space for everybody … and room to grow further.”
