A Special promotion for encouraging excellence in children through sports

Malta Independent Saturday, 9 June 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Procter & Gamble, the official sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games acknowledges and cherishes the mothers of the athletes of the Olympic delegation to the London 2012 Olympic Games. These mothers stand behind the success of their athletic children, as do all the mothers who help their children become champions.

To express this recognition, Procter & Gamble is launching a special promotion to help parents encourage excellence and success in children through sports.

With each purchase of a range of P&G products including Ariel, Lenor, Head & Shoulders, Pampers, Old Spice and Gillette, a donation will be made by VJ Salomone Marketing.

Participating outlets are also contributing to this campaign with a donation of their own. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of specialised sports equipment for Inspire – The Foundation for Inclusion (www.inspire.org.mt).

A number of cycles are being adapted and customised so that both children and adults with different abilities can cycle by using their arms.

Those aspiring to take part in the Paralympics and other competitions will now have a lightweight hand cycle to train on. Inspire will use its expertise and knowledge of adapted sports to integrate as many people as possible, through programmes currently being designed in conjunction with the Malta Paralympic Committee, the Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport and sponsoring partners such as VJ Salomone who feel that sports should be accessible to all.

Promotion applies to purchases made throughout June. To learn more about the promotion visit www.vjsm.com.mt or the company’s page on Facebook.
