Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar has quietly been re-inventing itself and changes have been taking place behind the Palace walls including the new ‘Aperitivo Nights’ which take place every Sunday.

The setting of the ‘Aperitivo’ nights, an Italian tradition, is in the magnificent and mystical walled privately owned gardens of Palazzo Parisio. The gardens rank amongst the finest in Malta. Classically baroque in style, guests can wander around soaking up the atmosphere of this historical stately home whilst enjoying the delights of an ‘Aperitivo’ night.

Guests will enjoy an abundance of appetizers, bowls of bar bites and  even signature dishes of the Palace and there will be live music as well as a bar and a cocktail bar in the gardens.  Tickets are €15 and include food and a cocktail. Guests can sit and relax, listen to the live music or even explore the secrets of the gardens. Dress is casual.

Christiane Ramsay Scicluna, Baroness of Tabria who personally manages all operations at the Palace with her daughter Justine said

”Consumers tastes and needs have changed and here at Palazzo Parisio we have now created a more relaxed and chilled ambience within the restaurants and gardens…. Our new more affordable relaxed lunch and dinner menus create a new dining experience, whilst still maintaining our high standard of quality food with excellent service.”

Opening hours have also been extended for the summer months for visitors to tour the Palace and it’s gardens and grounds, or to stop for a drink, have Afternoon Tea or enjoy the new chilled menu for lunch and dinner. Extended times for the Palace opening are from 9am – 7.30pm with the Restaurant open for lunch from Tuesday to Sundays inclusive and dinner Wednesday to Saturday inclusive.

Traditional Afternoon Teas have recently been introduced and already proving to be a great success. Serving from 3pm – 6pm, Tea is served on a 3 tier silver stand with an array of sandwiches, scones, jam and cream with pastries and their signature Palazzo Parisio Carrot Cake with a choice of 14 types of tea.
