On the eve of its third anniversary, the Banif Bank branch in Fgura received the Branch of the Year Award for 2011, as the best performing retail branch within the Commercial Department of the bank.

CEO Joaquim F. Silva Pinto presented the award to Branch Manager Martin Borg during a lavish dinner held in the bank’s Board Room at its Head Office in Gzira, in the presence of all the Fgura branch staff.

During his brief address to the winners, Silva Pinto said, “On behalf of the Board of Directors and the bank’s Executive Committee, I would like to congratulate you for this achievement. You should be very proud of being the first branch to receive this award. This is an important milestone in the bank’s history. Above all, you should be even more satisfied with your performance and the contribution given to the bank’s overall results.”

Mr Pinto concluded by reaffirming the bank’s commitment to continue investing in its employees in order to help them meet their expectations and fulfil their desires as implied by Banif’s humanism value.

Chief Commercial Officer Luís Avides Moreira, Chief Financial Markets & Investments Officer Paulo E. Machado Fernandes and the Head of Commercial Department, Anthony Bonnici also attended the event.
