Nexia BT Reconfirms ACCA Approved Employer Status and is awarded the NCPE Equality Mark Certificate

Malta Independent Sunday, 19 August 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Nexia BT has reconfirmed its ACCA Approved Employer status. The firm has been an approved employer for ACCA since 2009.

“This renewal reaffirms our commitment towards the training of students as well as the professional development of our members” says Brian Tonna, managing partner at Nexia BT.

The ACCA Approved Employer status covers trainee development for individuals taking the ACCA qualification and seeking membership of ACCA, as well as Practising Certificate Development for ACCA members who wish to obtain eligible experience for an ACCA practising certificate.

As part of the ACCA qualification, trainees need to demonstrate that they have met a range of workplace performance objectives. As an approved employer certified to provide trainee development at the platinum level, Nexia BT has demonstrated to ACCA that it meets global best practice in the provision of work based opportunities for trainees and the same trainees would hence be eligible for certain exemptions from completing such performance objectives.

This reconfirmed status is another achievement for Nexia BT which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Earlier this year, the company was also awarded the NCPE Equality Mark Certificate, a certification awarded to those organisations that demonstrate a commitment to best practices in the area of gender equality.

Nexia BT is part of Nexia International, a worldwide network of independent auditors, business advisers and consultants, present in over 100 countries. Today, the firm’s services branch out to include audit, corporate finance, tax advisory and business advisory services in a wide range of markets from traditional trading and holding companies to shipping, yachting, remote gaming, investment services and business aviation.
