Montblanc Launches TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC

The much-awaited Montblanc’s TimerWalker Collection has now been released and is available at Diamonds International in Valletta and Portomaso.

The new Montblanc Chrono Voyager (Universal Time Coordinated) UTC with mechanical chronograph function and second time zone on a 24-hour scale is a sporty overall package in the dynamic look of the unmistakable TimeWalker design. The range has everything it needs to keep synchronised with the local and home time, even when its owner undertakes a lengthy journey.

The basic tenor is sportily dynamic and unmistakably masculine. The case’s bold diameter of 43mm combines with a narrow bezel to provide ample room for an uncommonly big dial. This spaciousness naturally maximises the comprehensibility and legibility of the eight different displays.

Unlike most wristwatches, the Montblanc TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC shows the time in two different time zones at a glance. This function has become increasingly important along with the growth of mobility across the boundaries of time zones. The dial instantly shows both the time in the user’s current time zone and the time at his residence or workplace.

The 24-hour UTC on the TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC is not permanently set to Greenwich Time, but can be reset to show the time in any desired zone, thus making this timepiece a genuine time-zone watch. It helps its owner stay in contact with his family and assures that he won’t rudely awaken them with a long-distance call in the wee hours of the morning.

The hour in the local time zone is indicated by a distinctively short hour-hand along the inner 12-hour scale, while the hour in the wearer’s home zone is shown by a long skeletonised hour-hand with a coloured tip that points to a 24-hour scale along the flange that bears a day/night indication as well, splitting the flange in light grey for the day hours and in dark grey for the nighttime.

All this comes packed in the unmistakable TimeWalker design, which is available in various versions with different wristbands and dials. A particularly sporty choice is the bimetallic variant, in which the middle part of the case is made of polished stainless steel and the bezel is crafted from satin-finished titanium. The Montblanc TimeWalker Chrono Voyager UTC is affixed to a black alligator-leather strap with contrasting pale grey stitching. A stainless steel-pronged buckle secures the wristband.

The other models are available in stainless steel with black, pale grey or anthracite-grey dials and pale or rose gold accents and hands. They’re attached to alligator-leather straps with pronged buckles or to linked steel bracelets with triply folding clasps.
