New €7 Million state of the art premises for RS2 inaugurated

RS2 Software p.l.c., the global provider of card payment solutions, IT consultancy and related services today officially inaugurated their new offices in Mosta. The state of the art premises will house the Company’s present operation as well as room for expected growth. The premises were inaugurated by the Minister for Finance, the Economy and Investment, Hon. Tonio Fenech in the presence of the Company’s Chairman, Mario Schembri and Chief Executive Officer, Radi El Haj.

Addressing the guests, Mr Schembri said that “The past year has proved to be a successful one for RS2 Software and today we are witnessing part of that success. The inauguration of these premises forms part of our growth strategy and our commitment to provide innovative solutions and services in the cards and payment market.”

In his address Mr El Haj announced that the new premises will house RS2’s new subsidiary, RS2 Smart Processing Ltd. He said that “This new subsidiary will provide managed services to our customers. Due to the growing demand for our software and services, the new Company will be positioned on the market as a solution provider offering the customers managed services and SaaS (Software as a Service). This is offered as an alternative solution to the traditional license sales of BankWORKS® modules. These services will allow customers to perform their business in a fast and efficient manner and at the same time reduce costs by avoiding the investment in hardware and software.”

Mr El Haj added that the company is committed to Malta, its employees and shareholders. He said that investing €7 million in our premises is a statement of intent by RS2 that our future is in Malta.

RS2 Software has invested over €7million in the construction of the new premises, primarily driven by the need to provide a cost-effective office environment, which is resilient to meet the company’s long-term requirements. The premises will consolidate a number of facilities that were previously dispersed in various locations including marketing, development, project management, customer support as well as the new subsidiary organization, RS2 Smart Processing Ltd. The new premises cover a total 2,500 square metres of office space and will accommodate all current employees as well as future employees with the growth of the business.

The new Mosta premises also provide a pleasant working environment for the employees with a modern environment, a canteen equipped with a kitchenette, vending machines and an outside recreation area overlooking the Mosta valley. This move reflects the Company’s on-going focus to improve its services, by providing a more personalised, spacious and welcoming premises to the clients.
