Express Trailers, part of the Express Group, has once again lived up to its reputation as a reliable car transporter with the safe and timely delivery of a very unusual but prestigious cargo, 8 Bugatti’s, a 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C and a convertible Porche 356, all destined to participate at this weekend’s highly anticipated Mdina Grand Prix.
Express Trailers in fact owns and operates two car transporters which have been acquired very recently and with which it operates a regular service to and from Malta to most destinations around Europe.
All the cars, which hail from the Bordeaux region in France left on Thursday and made it safely to their destination in St Julian’s punctually at around 10am this morning where they were parked just outside the Hilton Malta hotel.
Antoine Vella from Express Trailers was present on site to oversee all operations and was visibly very proud of this latest consignment. “We are very passionate about our work and we take each aspect of the job very seriously. However, we also happen to be big car enthusiasts and therefore, we too share in the excitement of watching such a prestigious fleet of cars arriving to its destination on board one of our two modern car transporters and watching them being patiently unloaded. We take pride in what we do and we treat each and every cargo as though it was our very own,” added Antoine Vella.
“These were the formula cars of 80 years ago and Express Trailers is very proud to have been chosen by the organisers of the Mdina Grand Prix to ensure the safe delivery of such a delicate and unique cargo. This proves that where it really matters, Express Trailers is highly trusted and kept in high regard,” added Antoine Vella.
The cars will be strutting their stuff this coming Thursday during the Mtaħleb Hillclimb following which, they will be joining the rest of this year’s participating cars at the Mdina Concours d’Elegance on Friday the 12th, remaining on show throughout the whole weekend.
A total of 70 classic cars have been confirmed for this year’s Mdina Grand Prix events whereby 20 models have been brought from abroad whereas a staggering 50 classic models are from Malta.
