Malta Independent Sunday, 21 October 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

MISCO recently confirmed itself as a leading choice in professional management training as six delegates from Actavis were presented with their certificate after successfully completing the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Diploma in Management.

The Diploma in Management develops a comprehensive range of basic middle-management skills and assists participants in gaining the knowledge and ability required by practising or potential managers.

MISCO’s Business Development Director, Mr Morgan Parnis, during the presentation of Diplomas said: “By investing in this management development, managers can ensure that they are more confident in their role and also able to lead employees through the challenging times ahead. Nurturing efficient leaders through management development is the most cost-effective investment an organisation can make to enhance the performance and efficiency of its staff.”

“Actavis is a great investor in people and we always consider our employees as one of our most important resources upon which the ongoing success of Actavis is built and nurtured,” said Patrick Cachia, Managing Director at Actavis. “Therefore, investing in the right people and trusting them in the professional care of MISCO’s professional trainers was a natural step for us, as our company seeks to develop more managerial skills from within its employee base.”

The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) is the UK’s largest awarding body for leadership and management qualifications, operating through its extensive network of ILM centres worldwide, amongst which is MISCO in Malta.

To date, more than 120 persons have qualified with the ILM’s Diploma in Management from MISCO. Anyone interested in acquiring further information regarding the ILM qualifications is invited to attend an information session on Tuesday 6 November at 5.30pm at MISCO Training Centre in Mrieħel. To book a place for this session, one may contact Ms Nicole Vella at [email protected] or on 2205 4605.
