Labour’s series of lies continues – Fenech

Malta Independent Friday, 22 February 2013, 21:49 Last update: about 13 years ago

The Labour Party statement issued tonight continues the series of lies that have characterised the PL’s reaction in the last few days, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said.

In a statement, Mr Fenech said the PL is saying he had admitted to receiving a gift from rogue oil trader George Farrugia. The minister “never said these words,” the statement said.

The minister once again denied what has been fabricated by Labour and said that he had presented a criminal complaint for the police to proceed against Labour MPs Chirs Cardona and Evarist Bartolo for the lies they said about him, the statement said.

The police commissioner had confirmed with Minister Fenech that George Farrugia never stated that he had given the minister a gift.

All this adds up to Labour Party lies that have been made in the past days. Joseph Muscat lied when he said he did not know of drugs in a PL club; Toni Abela lied when he said Dr Muscat did not know about the drugs; Labour candidate David Farrugia Sacco lied about his brother; Labour candidate Manuel Mallia lied about his participation in the audit that was carried out; and Evarist Bartolo and Chris Cardona lied about the clock, the statement said.
