The Public Broadcasting Services has decided to drop all pending court cases against the Broadcasting Authority in a spirit to strengthen the collaboration and commitment in the interest of broadcasting of the highest level.

Moreover, the BA chairman, Anthony J. Tabone this morning held a courtesy visit at the PBS Creativity Hub in Gwardamangia, where he met the new PBS chairman Tonio Portughese.

In a joint statement, the Broadcasting Authority and the PBS said that over the past days, they had extensive meetings intended to improve the communication between them.

The PBS Board of directors acknowledges the authority’s Constitutional role to ensure balance and impartiality in Maltese broadcasting. On its part, the authority acknowledges the importance for our island to have a strong state broadcasting company which delivers programs of quality to Maltese viewers and listeners.
