Eleven sex abuse victims filed a compensation claim for damages in court this morning.
As exclusively reported by this portal, the victims filed their case against their abusers, Carmelo Pulis and Godwin Scerri (who are currently serving a jail term of five and six years respectively), the Missionary Society of St Paul, the Archdiocese of Malta, and the directors general at the Office of the Prime Minister, the Education and Employment ministry and the Social Solidarity and Family ministry.
Last December, the Church insisted it was not responsible as an institution for the abuse the victims suffered at St Joseph's orphanage.
