Over €1,900 were collected in aid of Agenzija Appogg Children’s Fund during an event to celebrate the World Day of Dance 2013, an activity organised by the Dance Council Malta held at Daniels’ Shopping Complex in Hamrun. This activity included an afternoon of dance classes for persons of all ages and performances by dance schools from all over Malta, with special guest singers Renato, Georgina and Odessa. Agenzija Appogg would like to thank the Dance Council Malta and Ms Alison White for her initiative and support, on behalf of the vulnerable children who will be benefitting from this donation.
The Agency would also like to thank all the teachers that gave the classes in the different disciplines. These were Mandy Castagno, Pippa Roberts, Marisha Bonnici, Valerie Burke, Charles Duca, Kristina Schranz, Warren Bonello, Felix Busutil, Abigail, Shanon Deguara, Rachel Calleja and Gabriella Davis. Moreover, a number of dance schools offered sponsorships to children who benefit from the Appogg Children’s Fund, for them to be able to take dancing lessons. These schools are Alison White Dance Studio, Central Academy of Ballet, Dance Academy, ArtsExcel, Paul Curmi Dance Studio, Pauleen’s Dance & Fitness Studio and the College of Dance.
A raffle was also held with prizes donated by Pauleen Micallef, Vodafone, Just Kidding, Fruscio, More Supermarket, The Perfumery, Bottega Verde, and Athena. Agenzija Appogg would like to thank all sponsors who contributed in making the event a success.
Appogg Children’s Fund provides assistance in situations where children need immediate material support, for which their carers are unable to cater for. This is particularly so in situations where children require food, clothing, medication, uniforms, books, payment for a school outing or project, sportswear, visits to a medical consultant or any specialized treatment. Various fundraising activities are organised on a regular basis, together with the continuous support of various sponsors and donors.
