Meteoweb.it is reporting what it describes as a mysterious patch that is seen flowing from Malta on the way to the east, and which has been captured by satellite photos.

The website is reporting that the flow is of a different tonality to the surrounding seas, and has been captured ‘leaving’ the Birzebbuga area as it progresses eastwards with the normal marine currents.

Nothing peculiar has been reported in the area, the website says; neither have there been torrential rains which lead to debris ending up in the sea.

What is it? Meteoweb asks. So far, the mystery remains.
