Nexia BT has formally inaugurated its new offices in San Gwann, an occasion which also served for the audit and consultancy firm to launch a new service line.
Through its Turnkey BT concept, managing partner Brian Tonna explained, the company seeks to emulate the turnkey concept used in the construction industry and transpose it to the financial services, gaming and aviation industry.
Turkney BT involves providing a service through which project promoters can entrust the firm with finding the right partners and/or service providers, with teams which would not only include accountants, consultants, lawyers and other financial services providers, but also specialised technical people and organisations that the project may require.
Nexia BT was founded in 1992 as Brian Tonna and Co, but rebranded as Nexia BT in 2010 when it joined the Nexia International network of accounting and consulting firms.
Its employees were working from two separate offices before the company opted to relocate to the Capital Business Centre in San Gwann.
According to Mr Tonna, the new 1,000 square metre offices were necessary to provide space for future expansion and improved facilities for the company’s growing workforce.
The new offices were inaugurated by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, who welcomed the company’s efforts to specialise in several sectors, including aviation.
