The local Chapter of ISACA - formerly known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association – has elected a new Board of Directors for the term July 2013 to June 2014 during its Annual General Meeting held earlier this month, presided by outgoing President Vladimiro Comodini.
The new Board is composed of Vladimiro Comodini, Gian Carlo Millo, Robert M. Cachia, Rebekah Duca, Bernard Farrugia, Robert Farrugia, Anthony Formosa, Gordon Micallef and Andrew Schembri.
The newly elected Board of Directors will meet on August 8th to elect the Chapter’s officials, including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The AGM focussed on several initiatives taken throughout the 2012/2013 term and specifically discussed a marketing drive to increase the Chapter’s profile in Malta and awareness on Information Security, IT Risks and IT Audits. The outgoing board also successfully organised monthly educational events as well as a breakfast meeting and a half-day conference. Membership has also increased to just over 140.
Following the Annual General Meeting, ISACA held its annual networking event at the Radisson Blu, St Julians. The event was open also to non-members was attended by around 100 professionals.
