The PN said it hoped that the Maltese and Italian governments will continue to find solutions as happened in the past.
The PN in Opposition reiterated that it will support the government to accomplish support from the European Union on the migration problem.
“Through clearer support structures, decisions on issues similar to this week’s could have easily been concluded earlier.
“Diplomacy and dialogue are the way forward and not stamping of feet," the PN said.
At the same time, the PN said that it cannot avoid condemning the insults that were posted on European Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom’s Facebook page.
The PN urged Maltese citizens to show respect and tolerance towards individuals carrying out their duty.
