Provisional seasonally adjusted data show that industrial production went up by 1.3% in June over the previous month. When compared to the corresponding month last year, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days increased by 3.0%. Index of Industrial Production: June 2013
Monthly comparison
In June, industrial production increased by 1.3% to 108.2 points. The production of intermediate and consumer goods went up by 1.4 and 1.6% respectively. On the other hand, decreases of 1.7 and 0.3% were registered in the production of energy and capital goods respectively.
Annual comparison
When compared to the corresponding month last year, the index of industrial production went up from 109.3 points to 112.6 points (+3.0%). This was mainly due to increases of 0.6, 14.1 and 3.1% in the production of intermediate, capital and consumer goods respectively. Furthermore, the production of energy fell by 6.8%.
