Valletta registered their consecutive victory beating Naxxar Lions thanks to a Jonathan Caruana header on 14 minutes.

Valletta deserved their victory evn though they never set houses on fire.
Naxxar fresh from their victory over Tarxien, failed to react after suffereing the all important goal, and had to wait till the 34 th minute to go close with a Ribeiro shot that slightly went over the bar.
On the resumption the Valletta custodian saved his side when he managed to block a well taken freekick by Gilmar.
The returning Denni hit back for the Citizens minutes later when he was well served by Nafti, but his shot on the turn went inches wide.
In the dying stages of the match Naxxar went close with a Silva Dos Santos header and Valletta had the final chance with a dangerous Ian Zammit cross shot.
