Radio and TV presenter Clint Bajada has been selected as the new head of the Labour Party’s One radio station.
His predecessor Ray Azzopardi, who had headed the radio station for 22 years, vacated the post after being appointed as Malta’s Ambassador-designate to Belgium.
In a statement, One Productions Ltd said that Mr Bajada’s appointment aimed to ensure continuity, loyalty and ability in the management of One Radio.
Mr Bajada, who is 31, started working at One Productions in his teens, and has been involved in both its TV and radio programmes.
The Labour Party’s media company also announced the setting up of the One Academy of Broadcasting and Arts, which it said was the first initiative of its kind among local stations.
The academy, which will be headed by Mark Doneo, is aimed at those interested to start a career in the media, in roles including editing, graphics, production, presentation and acting.
