Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has walked out of a news conference at Steaua Bucharest after becoming agitated at the line of questioning ahead of their Champions League match.

Mourinho has spent weeks responding to questions about Juan Mata being dropped from the team. Now that the midfielder has been recalled, Mourinho was frustrated to be quizzed on Kevin De Bruyne's absence for Tuesday's game.

Mourinho said: "I don't like this tendency that you only ask about the players not selected."

With that, the Portuguese coach walked off the platform, leaving midfielder Frank Lampard sitting there in front of reporters.

Mourinho knows Chelsea must turn around its Champions League fortunes after losing the Group E opener against Basel.

Mourinho said: "I make mistakes but I try to be honest all the time."
