Liverpool says defender Jose Enrique has undergone surgery on his right knee and isn't expected to be back until February.
The 27-year-old Spaniard has not played since coming off the bench during the 4-0 victory over Fulham on Nov. 9.
On Monday, Liverpool said Enrique had successfully undergone surgery to "resolve an issue with his right knee."
The club, which is second in the Premier League, says Enrique is expected to return to full training in about 10 weeks.
