Sliema returned to winning ways when they easily beat Balzan 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick by their prolific striker Stanley Ohawuchi, to consolidate their fourth place.

Although Sliema had a good game, Balzan disappointed their followers as they were never dangerous.

Sliema opened the score early in the match but Balzan failed to come up with any reaction to let Sliema administrate the match easily.

Sliema had Paltemio Barbetti suspended while Balzan had Dani Miguelez and Aboulezz missing once again.

Sliema took the lead after just four minutes when Trevor Cilia crossed to Stanley Ohawuchi who with a good header gave Schelski no chance.

On the 16th minute Ohawuchi passed to Mark Scerri but his conclusion finished over the bar.

Sliema doubled their lead on the 30th minute when Stanley Ohawuchi managed to beat the offside trap from a pass by Ivan Woods and with ease managed to beat Schelski.

Ten minutes later from a free-kick by Cilia, a header by captain Alex Muscat finished a bit over the bar.

On the 42nd minute Balzan had their first real opportunity but from a Vignaroli free-kick, the header by Pereira was easily saved by Bonello.

Sliema could have scored the third goal on the 45th minute when Cilia made a good run down the right and crossed to Ohawuchi but alone, from five metres away, shot off target.

But Stanley Ohawuhi made amends for that miss and on the 51st minute Ivan Woods set the striker. He beat the offside trap, anticipated Schelski and scored in an empty net.

On the 65th minute Bonello managed to tip into a corner a header from Andrew Scicluna.

Pape Gueye went close for the fourth goal on the 72nd minute with a diagonal shot that went centimetres off target.

The last action came on the 90th minute when Trevor Cilia made a good run and crossed to Pape Gueye but his shot, identical to that byOhawuchi in the first half, finished off target.
