Tottenham midfielder Paulinho will be sidelined at least four weeks with a right ankle injury.
Spurs said on Tuesday that Paulinho underwent an MRI scan that revealed a "significant ligament damage" that will keep the Brazil international off the pitch in January.
Paulinho picked up the injury during Sunday's win against Stoke in the Premier League following a challenge from Charlie Adam.
