Dan Agger out for up to 4 weeks with calf injury

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks with a calf injury.

The Denmark center back was hurt last week in an FA Cup match.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers hopes Agger's absence will be compensated by Mamadou Sakho's rapid recovery from a hamstring injury. The Frenchman could return for the Premier League match at Stoke on Sunday, as well as striker Daniel Sturridge, who is back in training after recovering from a sprained ankle.

Liverpool stands fourth in the league, six points behind leader Arsenal.
