Nexia BT is delighted to announce the appointment of reform finance and operational specialist Anita Aloisio as a new partner with the firm. In 2010, Anita joined NEXIA BT with the specific remit to set-up the firm’s advisory services division. She has made a significant contribution to the firm over the last four years with her direct involvement in managing various large-scale projects, including a number of operational and financial restructuring exercises. Additionally she has been integral in the co-ordination of various business partners to compile business plans for obtaining substantial financing, and has also achieved a success rate of 90%+ in assisting clients to secure EU funding.

Anita is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants, holding a practicing certificate in auditing. She also holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration – a joint degree from the University of Edinburgh and ENPC, Paris. A CIMA prize winner for the best dissertation in Management Accounting, she brings more than 18 years of experience in cost modelling, project management, the development and implementation of strategic management systems, and business planning.
Anita started her career in auditing. During her employment at KPMG Advisory, Anita contributed towards various projects. In this role, she developed a manual for implementing a cost accounting solution. Prior to joining Nexia, Anita held a number of senior management and advisory positions. In 2004, she managed the project of building a bottom-up, next generation cost model – a first in Europe – for the Malta Communications Authority. In 2006, Anita joined the University of Malta as Senior Consultant and was later appointed Director of Finance and Director on the Group’s subsidiary companies. During her tenure at the University of Malta, aside from the management of the financial operations and all funds of the University, Anita led the restructuring of the entire finance function including the procurement processes.
Anita is a part-time visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and supervises dissertations in management accounting and internal auditing. She has also been appointed examiner of dissertations in the field of management accounting.
Anita’s partnership appointment is effective as from 1 January.
