David Camilleri, Alternattiva Demokratika activist and AD candidate for Gozo in last general elections was first insulted and then assaulted in Nadur yesterday night by two young hunters from Qala earlier today.

After having been insulted, Mr Camilleri was punched in the stomach by one of the two youngsters. When Camilleri tried to defend himself the second pounced on to him too and the two proceeded to beat him up.

Mr Camilleri was treated for slight injuries at the Gozo General Hospital.  A report has been lodged with the police in Nadur.
