Maltese stalker wants to ‘chop up Swiss model and feed her to the sharks’

Malta Independent Sunday, 13 July 2014, 11:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

A Swiss beauty queen has complained of being stalked and threatened by a Maltese man for over a year.

Kerstin Cook, a 25-year-old who was crowned Miss Switzerland in 2010, posted comments on her Facebook and an SMS conversation in which the Maltese man, who is not named, says he wants to “chop her up into pieces and feed her to sharks”.

The man justifies his hateful intentions by saying that Ms Cook “deleted him on Facebook”.

In a Facebook post, Ms Cook shared a picture of the man and wrote: “I would like to introduce you to my stalker. This guy is like a pest. He lives in Malta and has been stalking me for more than a year now. Not only was he deleted from Facebook for harassing me he was also deleted for pretending to be me. Malta stalker also threatened to hurt me. I just think he has a huge sick problem.”

Ms Cook said she was sick of his behaviour and would take action against “this insane person”.

In another post, the Swiss model said she would “definitely go to the Police and get some legal advice.”

On 25 June, Ms Cook said on twitter that the stalker would not stop pretending to be her. “It’s time to go to Malta and teach this guy a lesson.” Later on the same day she wrote: “my older brothers are always there for me... especially when others do me wrong. #Malta.”

The model had also posted a series of messages that were allegedly sent by the Maltese man to another person. The man expressed his intention to “cut her into pieces” and feed her to the sharks “to have a delicious meal”. Another message reads: “but first I want to put a big knife (the rest of the text is intentionally blurred.) The other person in the conversation asked the man why he was saying she is an evil person, to which he replied “she blocked my Facebook”.

The Malta Independent on Sunday was unable to confirm the case with the police and ascertain if they have any reports on Ms Cook’s complaints. The story is certainly not doing Malta’s reputation any favours. Kerstin Cook has more than 13,000 followers in Twitter and thousands of friends on Facebook.
