To celebrate this launch, the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard, which is one of the main sponsors of the Mdina Grand Prix, hosted a luxury press conference for journalists and invited guests within its landscaped gardens.  “With less than a month to go unless the Grand Prix kicks off, the hotel is now in full swing to support it,” says Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa general manager David Woodward.  “This event has an outstanding aura to it and its classic style blends beautifully with the historic atmosphere of the hotel. It was great fun to watch the stream of classic cars into our grounds for the press conference. We will be thrilled to welcoming them and their owners, as well as the many local and international Mdina Grand Prix enthusiasts who will be here over the next few weeks.” The press conference, which was held in the front garden of the hotel, attracted over 60 guests. Those present were treated to a breakfast of Prosecco and themed canapés crafted by executive chef Stefan Hogan and his team, including mini Battenberg cakes that perfectly matched the famous grand prix chequered flag.  Meanwhile, a beautiful exhibition of Mdina Grand Prix-related photography by David Pisani has been set up in the lobby of the Corinthia Palace, really enveloping the hotel in the excitement of the races to come. The exhibition is supported by Picture House. “We have gone all out to support this event because we believe it really focuses attention on many of Malta’s best features, namely the island’s history, the beautiful walled city of Mdina and the passion of the Maltese people.  “The Mdina Grand Prix certainly promises to be a highlight of our hotel’s busy on-going social calendar and we look forward to sharing it with our esteemed guests, both old and new.”   The Mdina Grand Prix will take place between 9 and 12 October.
