40 works of art for Hospice Malta’s 25th anniversary exhibition

40 art pieces will be exhibited in a group show themed HospArt25, one of a series of events being organised by Hospice Malta as part of its celebrations to commemorate 25 years of campaigning, awareness and high level respite and care provided to hundreds of patients and their families.

The 40 works of art are an opportunity for the public to glimpse the latest output from artists Luca Cauchi, James Vella Clark, Anna Galea, Stephanie Galea, Paul Haber, Mark G. Muscat, Richard Saliba and Kenneth Zammit Tabona. Among them are wall-hung and freestanding ceramic sculptures, drawings, photographs and paintings in a variety of media.

Hospice Malta is a voluntary organisation inspired by Christian values. It was founded in 1989 and promotes and provides the highest standards of Palliative Care in a holistic manner for persons reaching end of life with cancer, motor neuron disease, cardiac, respiratory and renal diseases. More than 7000 patients and their families benefitted from Hospice services. Presently Hospice receives an average of 50 new referrals each month. Visits to patients and families amount to 6684 per year.

All services to patients are provided free of charge. Funds are generated mostly through donations and on-going fund raising activities that require the public's generous support. You can support Hospice by becoming a member, by monetary donations, by becoming a volunteer, as well as by contributing in fundraising activities such as this exhibition.

HospArt25 is being held throughout the month of October (until the 28th) at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, 64, Republic Street, Valletta, has found the generous support of the Chamber and of FIMBank.
