Nationalist Party deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami is back in Malta after undergoing an operation in London to remove a tumour.
He was welcomed back by PN leader Simon Busuttil and several other party officials.
Speaking to the media at Malta International Airport, Dr Fenech Adami said the surgery was another chapter in his road towards recovery from the cancer. "It does not mean that the situation has been resolved - it's not like that at all - but things are moving as planned," he said.
In the days and weeks to come Dr Fenech Adami said he will be doing further tests and he will also be continuing his treatment. "In some way I would like to return to the normal routine of life, family, profession and politics," he said.
