Gozitan students will start receiving their subsidy directly in their bank account, Gozo Minister Anton Refalo has announced. 

Gozitan students who attend full-time courses at the University of Malta, MCAST or ITS receive a €400 subsidy every three months. These students currently receive a cheque by post.

"This development confirms that the government holds the interests of students close to heart and is doing its utmost to help them in their studies."

The announcement was made during a meeting the minister had with the new council of the Grupp Universitarji Ghawdxin (GUG).
