The festive season is just around the corner and the Carers for Stray and Abandoned Felines (CSAF) organisation has the ideal gift for the cat lovers in your life - a cat calendar featuring some of their most charming and cute feline rescues posing artistically for the camera.The CSAF is a voluntary organisation whose mission statement is to rescue, care, neuter and tries to home stray cats in the south of Malta. CSAF is currently in charge of nearly 300 stray cats. CSAF vice president Grace Mifsud explained that all CSAF volunteers have always been cat lovers and carers and they all have cats of their own. "We expanded our love for animals to CSAF around 10 years ago. Of course, our love and care does not distinguish between animal types. However, we decided to specialise and focus on cats because of the social requirement in Malta, especially the south region," she explained.This initiative is being spearheaded by the people behind www.candy.cat - a website which helps organisations that take care of stray cats. "All CSAF fund-raising campaigns are earmarked to raise funds to meet the running expenses of the ever-growing numbers of cats stationed at our cat sanctuary. Proceeds from the calendar will go towards the CSAF's current and future expenses," said Mrs Mifsud.More information on the campaign may be found on www.candy.cat.
