A total of 1,437 house visits from health centre staff around the country were registered for the month of September, Health Minister Konrad Mizzi said in Parliament.
He was responding to a Parliamentary question posed by PN MP Claudio Grech, showing a rise of 130 house visits since last June. The largest number of house visits occurred in Paola, with a total of 357 in September alone and the total number of visits in all centres between June and September amounted to 5,602.
Another question asked by the PN MP relates to the total number of patients who went to health centres. Information shows that a total of 45,220 visits to the health centres were made in September alone, with Paola seeing 11,457 patients.
Of these, 281 patients were referred to Mater Dei Hospital, down from 353 in June.
