New Colombian Ambassador to Malta meets fellow nationals on the island

The new Colombian Ambassador to Malta, Juan Sebastiàn Betancur Escobar, accompanied by his wife, Martha Senn, a world-renowned Colombian mezzo-soprano, recently presented his credentials to President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.To coincide with their visit, Dr Ing. Joseph Buhagiar, Honorary Consul of Colombia, organised a reception at Palazzo Castelletti in Rabat, inviting among others, Colombian nationals residing on the island.    During this event, the ambassador met Colombians working in Malta and a number of English-language students from Colombia. Addressing the guests, the Ambassador as well as the Honorary Consul underscored possible future collaboration between Malta and Colombia. The Ambassador expressed an interest in establishing cooperation in tourism, science, technology and innovation between the two countries.
