A painting entitled The Fragility of Peace by Maltese artist Damian Ebejer was awarded runner-up placing in an international competition with the theme Peace. Almost 3,000 artists from 22 countries took part in this competition. This initiative was launched by the World Citizen Artists, a global non-profit organisation which promotes peace through creative art and music.  Ebejer's painting was displayed among 13 other finalists at the prestigious Belgravia Gallery in London over the Christmas period.The Fragility of Peace was also to be accompanied with a statement from the artist.
