SkinCeuticals charity campaign in aid of Hospice Malta

Monday, 2 February 2015, 14:08 Last update: about 12 years ago

On 16 January at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St Julian's, President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca inaugurated the SkinCeuticals 2015 Charity campaign in aid of Hospice Malta at an evening hosted by Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre.

Internationally-renowned advanced professional skincare line SkinCeuticals, available locally at Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre, launched a yearlong charity campaign marking the introduction of exciting new product additions to its range. A total of 20% of all the proceeds on the night went to Hospice Malta in the form of a 10% contribution of products sold and an additional 10% matched by Persona.

The charity campaign will span the whole year with Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre donating 5% of all its SkinCeuticals yearly sales to Hospice Malta.

This includes proceeds from the SkinCeuticals online shop that has just been launched at www.persona.com.mtAs part of the same campaign Persona also made a donation to Prof. Joseph L. Pace, president of the Malta Association of Dermatology and Venereology (MADV). The products will also be part of the MADV's campaigns in promoting skin cancer prevention in Malta. The keynote speaker at the event was Lamia Natafgi, SkinCeuticals Education manager, Middle East. She explained that to maintain and improve skin health, an effective daily skincare regimen must contain three fundamental elements: Prevention, Protection and Correction.

The SkinCeuticals product philosophy is built around these three principles: to prevent future damage, protect healthy skin and correct previous damage. This innovative approach, backed by scientific evidence based on almost 40 years of experience researching and developing anti-oxidant technologies that help prevent skin ageing and skin cancer, has resulted in SkinCeuticals, becoming the no.1 skincare brand prescribed by dermatologists and plastic surgeons in the USA today. Ms Natafgi also presided a number of training sessions held between 14 and 16 January at Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre in Ta' Xbiex.

This provided all members of Persona staff with comprehensive information and hands-on experience about the three new products that were just added to the SkinCeuticals range.

These are Resveratrol B E, a nighttime antioxidant concentrate that helps prevent and repair skin damage; Mineral Radiance UV Defense SPF, the new tinted 100% mineral filter fluid sunscreen and Advanced Pigment Corrector that reduces hyper pigmentation. The night was characterised by a number of innovative initiatives related to skin health. In-depth skin analysis using the cutting edge Visia Imaging System used at Persona, that provides comprehensive information about the skin's condition as well as amazing 3D facial scans, was extremely popular. Many people also took advantage of the free advice being offered at the custom set-up SkinCeuticals bar and the opportunity to sample the unique SkinCeuticals product textures there."Persona and SkinCeuticals are two different, yet remarkably complementary brands, which both have individual wellbeing and skin health very much at the basis of their existence," said Peter Apap, director of Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre in his opening address.

This is why a charity partnership supporting Hospice Malta as well as continued support to the MADV promoting skin health is a natural evolution for Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre, which has always placed its patients' and clients' health and well-being at the heart of its operations.
