Malta’s economic growth increased by 0.2%, from 3.8% to 4% in the third quarter of last year, the government said in a statement, quoting Eurostat statistics issued earlier today.
As a result of this, the government said, Malta had the highest rate of economic growth in Europe between the months of July and September 2014. The government noted that during these months, many tourists visit our islands.
The statement further read that despite these positive results, the Opposition is still insisting that Malta is facing financial problems which could lead to a bail-out request.
"The government believes in Malta’s potential economic growth and therefore, in the coming months, will be implementing a number of measures to further boost economic growth and to create more opportunities for families and businessmen."
