Minister for the Family and Social Solidarity Michael Farrugia has joined 89.7bay’s national campaign against cyber bullying – Stop Hate.
Minister Farrugia said that the family Ministry is fully supporting this campaign. He added that everyone should take responsibility of what is uploaded on the internet because that is the only way that children can be protected from cyber bullying.
Michael Farrugia said that he believes that cyber bullying can lead to ugly realities which are being faced by our teens.
‘We believe that all parents should know more about what is being posted on the internet by their children and in return children should learn how to use the internet in a safer way’ said Minister Farrugia.
Family Minister added the internet is a tool which opens new doors to a globalised world, thus everyone should make appropriate use of it.
The Ministry for the Family and Social Solidarity has been supporting the Stop Hate Campaign from the beginning as we believe that it is a platform leading to more information among the younger generation.
