35 projects, valued at €5 million in total, are being implemented by thirteen local councils in Gozo, the government said in a statement.
The projects are all being financed by the European Agricultural and Rural Development Fund, and all need to be completed by the end of this year. The projects aim at improving the infrastructure of diverse villages and towns across Malta and Gozo, both for tourists and residents.
Parliamentary Secretary Ian Borg today visited Qala, where one of the projects, entitled ‘Inkoraggiment ta Attivitajiet Turistici’ is being carried out, with a heritage trail around the locality being built. A recreational park and folklore museum will also be built. Rubble walls will be restored.
Qala Mayor Clint Camilleri was also present.
