"Water is a precious and limited resource in Malta and should be used judiciously", was the clear message given by HSBC representatives on behalf of HSBC Water Programme - Catch the Drop campaign to 36 Italian secondary school students from Tuscany during a visit to the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant in Pembroke. Accompanied by their teachers, the students were shown around the plant and informed about the mechanical process through which seawater is turned into potable and safe water for human consumption. The theme is now serving as a platform for discussion between the Italian students and their Maltese counterparts from St Ignatius Girls' Secondary School of Ħandaq, who also paid a similar visit to the plant.
